Sliding door kits; rail systems for wooden doors

At G Johns & Sons we get a lot of interest in our internal sliding door kits. As well as being a very stylish addition to any interior they also have the extra benefit of reclaiming that dead space in rooms, which people cannot use because of the way traditional doors operate. Being based in London, where space is at an absolute premium, it’s no wonder so many of our customers are interested in this fantastic product.

This month we are focussing on our range of sliding door kits for timber doors. These consist of a rail system that can be fitted to your wooden door and work fantastically well as sliding room dividers in bathrooms, bedrooms, living areas and offices. The sliding door tracks use a ball bearing system and can be used on single or double doors up to 120k in weight.

You can fit the system to either the wall or ceiling so it gives you a great deal of flexibility and ensures that the sliding door works well within the space you have. And while many people would choose to have their door fitted by a professional builder, the simple system and detailed instructions make it a reasonably straightforward task for the practical DIY-ers amongst you.

The finish comes in silver anodised aluminium, aluminium or grey and for those of you worried about how the system might look we can also provide you with a selection of pelmet cover plates to disguise the sliding tracks and rollers. Other optional extras include special soft close devices to help prevent the doors from slamming and a specialist double door synchronization mechanism.

Our timber sliding door kits are available in sizes up to 3000mm long. If you require larger sizes then more than one track can be joined together.
