• Door hold open devices are products that allow users to legally hold open fire doors.
• Our range of door hold open devices includes the Dorgard acoustic fire door retainer which is a battery-operated wire-free system, this door hold open device is fitted to the bottom of a fire door, and is operated via a foot plunger. When pushed down the door will hold open in position. 
• The Dorgard listens for a continuous fire alarm sound level of over 65 decibels, after approximately 14 seconds the Dorgard will release, allowing the fire door to close under the pressure of the overhead door closer.
• Electro-magnets can be wall or floor-mounted and have a corresponding plate that attaches to the back of the fire door. The magnets are then wired into the main power and the fire alarm system. In normal use, the door can be pushed open and held in place, when the fire or smoke alarm is activated power is automatically cut to the electro-magnets and the doors will close under the pressure of the door closer or floor spring.
