The Exidor 296 is an elegant and highly functional panic latch set for use on single fire escape and single emergency exit door applications.
Horizontal panic bar design with 1 point basic locking via a horizontal simple latch.

Tested to BS EN 1125 this emergency exit hardware is suitable for use on fire exit and fire escape doors in public buildings and public areas including - schools, hospitals, churches, shopping centers or any area which may hold 60 people or more.
Certified for use on 60 minute FD60 timber fire doors and 240 minute FD240 metal fire doors. Certificates available upon request.
Non-handed design suitable for use on ISO 5 and ISO 6 handed doors (left and right handed.)
Surface mounted with closed arm design.

Operation
When pressure is applied at any point along the horizontal bar the latch is released and the door will open.
When the door is closed again the latch rides back into the receiver plate mounted on the frame to secure the door closed.
Usage
This Exidor 296 is suitable for use on single, wooden fire exit doors.
Suitable for doors up to 1220mm wide.
BS EN 1125 and the code of practice of fire escape doors state that horizontal panic bars must cover at least 60% of the door width.
For wider doors longer horizontal bars are available to special order.
