The Exidor 297 is an elegant and highly functional push pad panic latch set for use on single fire escape and single emergency exit door applications.
Push pad design with 1 point basic locking via a simple horizontal latch.

Supplied with receiver plate for frame (for latch to engage into.)
Silver (SE) finish.
Tested to BS EN 179 this emergency escape device is only suitable for use where the emergency exit door is used only by trained personnel.
The Exidor 297 should only be used in low occupancy places of work (an area of less then 60 people) and areas never accessed by members of the general public or those unfamiliar with the operation instructions. (For example this item should only be fitted in office areas or factories where personnel have been trained and regularly practice a fire drill.)
This item is NOT suitable for use in public buildings and public areas (areas with 60 or more people).
Certified for use on 60 minute FD60 timber fire doors and 240 minute FD240 metal fire doors. Certificates available upon request.
Non-handed design suitable for use on ISO 5 and ISO 6 handed doors (left and right handed.)
Surface mounted fitting.

Operation
When the pad is pushed downwards the latch is released and the door will open.
When the door is closed again the latch rides back into the receiver plate mounted on the frame to secure the door closed.
Usage
This Exidor 297 is suitable for use on single, wooden fire exit doors.
Only suitable for use in low occupancy areas such as offices with trained personnel (low occupancy - less then 60 people).
This item is NOT suitable for use in public areas or public buildings.
